The entire Wildcats family extends to the O'Sullivan family, of New Hyde Park, our deepest best wishes for Danny's recovery....and we also want you to know that he is in our prayers.
Danny a tough competitor, both on and off the field, and he is now fighting another battle...one for his life. Acting as a Good Samaritan by stopping to help a disabled driver on the parkway last weekend he is now faced with a hospital stay.
Danny, we're on the sidelines rooting and praying for a speedy recovery and a quick return home.
As a Wildcats player and a Gladiator punter, you were always a tough fighter. Don't forget it!
Whenever a player goes down on the field our hearts are in our mouths, but when it's one of our own it becomes traumatic....Danny is one of our own!

As we prepare for another Indoor Season and Indoor Tournaments, let me take this opportunity to say thank you for all the many, many years, 16 to be exact, of recording the wonderful memories of the Wildcats.
As I pass the baton to Anne Sawicki, the new editor, I wish her the very best and may she enjoy the next 16 yearsÊas much as I have enjoyed the last 16 years.

The Bobcats participated in this year's "College Bound Showcase" in Hazlet, NJ. There were over 100 college coaches in attendance to scout our senior players.
Game 1 - A 3-1 win vs. Philadelphia Sting (eight time defending State Champs). Colleen Sullivan's cross to the goal's mouth became a scramble for the ball, but Jackie Pryor found it and put it away. After Sting tied us, Cara Biondos passed back to attacking stopper Nicole Fontana for the game winner. Pamela Swenson scored the insurance goal, unassisted.
Game 2 - 4-4 tie vs. Lacy Mustangs NJ. Down a goal early in the game, the girls came back strong to end the first half with three goals: Kristy Maugeri with two goals and one by Holly Nelson. The Mustangs retaliated with three unanswered goals. Kristy recorded her hattrick scoring the tying goal in the last minutes of the game.
Game 3 - A 2-1 win vs. Capitol United. From Jackie's corner kick, Cara's header found the back of the net. From a direct kick the United tied and with minutes remaining in the game Alisa Femia beat out two defenders and the keeper for the game winner.
Excellent play by our defenders. Outstanding midfield control by Elide Bell. Keeper Kristin Lotito was rock solid in goal. "Thank you" to guest players Erin Gunyan and Beth Genalo whose play added great depth to our squad.
Lady Cougars 1 - Commack Emeralds 0
Playing in their final contest of the fall season the Lady Cougars battled a very skillful Commack team and with their effort was rewarded with a 1-0 win. The lone goal was scored with five minutes remaining in the second half by Allie Bresso, with the assists going to Teresa Ferraro and Nicole Dobranski. Goalie Samantha Laszlo, along with some tough defense by Dena Wlodorczyk, Nicole Dobranski, Caitlin Kennedy and Jessica Connaughton held off the Emerald attack. Thanks to all the girls for their dedication and never give up attitude, and continued success in round five which resumes in the spring.
Lady Lynx 4 - Babylon Strikers 2
The constantly improving Lady Lynx carried their mission one step further as they advanced to the quarter finals of the State Cup by soundly defeating the Babylon Strikers. This would be the day for the unsung heroes of the Lady Lynx to "charge the hill" led by Honor Adams' hat trick and the awesome defensive effort put forth by Vivian Quan.
The Lady Lynx scored quickly as Jenny Tempone corralled the ball in the corner and squared a beautiful pass to Lora Tloczkowski, who hammered it home giving the Ladies a 1-0 advantage. The Babylon crew eventually evened the score off a pile up in front of our goal late in the first half, a goal which was answered back by Honor's first, and setup nicely by a pass from Tracy Rostholder. The Lady Lynx third, and winning goal, was scored as Honor Adams took a pass from Michelle Contrada at the mid-field and hit the after burners as she utilized her speed to beat three Babylon defenders while converting the chance. The Ladies put the game away on a run from our defensive end by Jennifer Jung on which she seemed to just flow up field. J.J. after sliding and weaving through the Babylon midfield and defense crossed the ball to Honor, who blasted the ball to the back of the net and "tipped the hat" for the Ladies' fourth goal.
The defense, although depleted by the injuries, pulled together and came up with another super game led by the incredible play of Vivian Quan, who just dominated the mid-field stripe. The Lady Lynx, charged by the tenacious play of Caitie Clark and Lauren Keavney, and bolstered by the clutch goalkeeping of Katie Gilroy kept the Strikers at bay as they made a last ditch effort to make a game of it. How 'bout dem Lynx!
See you indoors. Lose that case Jackie Nese!
Lady Tigers 4 - Oceanside 3 (OT)
The Lady Tigers advanced to the semifinals in the State Cup with a 4-3 win in overtime against the previously undefeated team from Oceanside. The girls last game of the fall season turned out to be one of the most exciting games of the year. The Tigers scored first on a corner pass from Nicole Cavallaro to Dana Hammer. The second goal came from Nicole off some fancy footwork leading to a breakaway score. Oceanside answered right away to tie. The Lady Tigers received outstanding midfield play by Ali Timpano and later from Catie Loskoski in the second half of overtime. The Tigers recaptured the lead on a perfect corner kick from Jaime Bourazaris to Dana H. Again Oceanside tied and sent into overtime where the Tigers played their best. Francine Leung, Marion Delapena and Domanie Kokoris walled of the offense and shut down the opponents in overtime. Exceptional ball control was exhibited by the twins Debra jnd Denise Prevete who assisted in the team's dominance in overtime. Lyndsey DeSarbo had a game saving block on a breakaway by a speedy Oceanside offender in the first OT. With five minutes remaining, Nicole C. took the ball downfield and passed the goalie for the game winner. The State Cup Semifinals resume in the spring.
Kickcats 1 - Sachem 1
The Kickcats played host to Sachem, our tough divisional rival. It was a well-played game by all with Jessica getting us on the scoreboard. We had our chances today, however, Sachem's goalie came up big time after time. In true Kickcat fashion, we never quit.
The coaches would like to thank the players for a great season. Play like this in the spring season and I know we'll be divisional champs. Great job.
"Keep Kickin Kickcats"
Thundercats 0 - E. Islip Lightning 1
Thundercats proved to be a worthy opponent against Division I E. Islip. A couple of tough calls against us proved to be an obstacle that we couldn't overcome. Good all around play by entire team. Happy holidays and good luck next spring Alli, Sara, Lindsey, Paige, Becky, Cindy, Colleen, Elise, Jenna, Maria, Analise, Cindy and Samantha.
Battlecats 2 - Massapequa 1
Battlecats take second in the division with a solid victory after being behind 1-0. Robert Snell got us going on a great tip in from a Richie Femia cross. Andrew Simms got the gamer from a long defensive clear from Larry Lewandoski. Robbie Guercio and Chris Sigmund pressed constantly up front. Best midfield efforts to date by Leo Lumermann. The defense of Frank Crecco and Chris Siracusa once again kept our goals against average at slightly over just one per game, an amazing statistic. Credit keeper Richie Crifasi with a number of quality saves. The season ends with six wins, one tie and two losses, a very successful season which the coaches, players and parents are proud of. Very well done boys!
Lazercats 6 - Middle Country 0
Division Champs
In a game where it was a must win our boys showed their great skills.
Jason Lacertosa opened the scoring. Tom McGuire off of Steve Zendzion got the second goal. Steve Zenzion again brought the ball down the field and passed to Hector Jaramillo who scored. Mike Onarato was in the right place at the right time when he scored the fourth goal. Out of nowhere Adam Ilardi with a player hanging on his back managed to break free for the fifth goal. Sean Hunt took a beautiful shot right over the keeper's head for our sixth and final goal. Our goalie Alex made spectacular saves to give us our fifth shutout this season.
Thanks to all the boys and their parents for their support throughout the season.
Best of luck to all the boys. Last but not least, thanks to our team mascot "Cupcake" the rock dog.

Dylan Mayer, Allen Williams and Ray Anderson turned hustle into scoring chances. Brendon Schweitzer, Dan Wortley and Joe M. turned back rush after rush. Making it to the third round of the State Cup was a tremendous accomplishment. Great first season for the never say die Tigers!

Kim and Heli played an all-around great game.

Ken Simon, Bonnet Division director, would like to congratulate the Starfish and the Sharpshooters for an excellent final game. Both teams never gave up. These two teams showed a lot of great team play. The parents should give these girls "hats off" to be able to see great passing, shooting and team play.
"Hats off" to the Sharpshooters as they are the champs.
I would also like to give special thanks to Effie Domb as he is always willing to give his time whenever needed. He refs a terrific game.

Tough season ending loss for Aztecs. Big goal by mighty Mike Sausto made it close. John Weitzel, Dan Saldariagga and Derk Scancarelli played fierce "D". Jason Brown and Mike Marsigliano played their usual fast "O". Lou Flaherty fell one save shy of breaking 17-year-old Continental record. Way to go boys. Thanks to great parents.
Tremendous season ending game by the Revolution against a feisty Aztec's team. Michael Polizzi, Andres Baracaldo and Sean Curry were persistent in offense resulting in goals by Robert Ferlazzo, Nicky Sekula and Brandon Ramos. Special thanks go out to all the parents of each and every player, especially Coaches Joe Ditta and Greg Priest. Even though the team failed to tally any wins, more importantly we learned sportsmanship, friendship and gamesmanship. Every kid is looking foward to spring season. As for the game Peter Mastrandra turned in another stellar performance in goal, shutting out the strong United team in the first half. Kobi Fridman's second half goaltending was as good. Nicholas Prevete and Chris Priscota went in on goal numerous times but were stonewalled each time. Tom Ditta kept pressure on the opponents with excellent midfield play. Sal Russo turned back four breakaways with booming defensive kicks. Matt Magenheim, Benny Tortorrici and Greg Preist played excellent both sides of the ball. Sad to see it end.
