St. peters 27 - Notre Dame 23

The 6th grade Notre Dame Bulldogs came out fighting in their opening night game, giving the fans an exciting game down to the last second. The scoring was led by Matt Santalesa (6 points), James Ort (5 points), John Amico (4 points), Brian Ernst (4 points), Steve Bartoloni (2 points) and Ricky Cinelli (2 points). Matt Santalesa was all over the floor making important steals and rebounds. John Amico played great defense holding St. Peter's best player to very few points. Steve Bartoloni made great rebounds and played great defense. Jonathan Laserinko, playing his first game, did a great job, playing good defense and just missing on some nice shots. Ricky Cinelli was all over the court making defensive steals. Stephen Diolallevi was terrific making huge rebounds and going up with shots getting fouled. Steve Humburg played great defense and did a great job at the guard position making perfect passes. Brian Ernst hit two clutch free throws, bringing us within 2 points with a minute left and made the score 25-23. James Ort made two great baskets with great hustle and scored an important free throw in the final minutes. Great games guys!
