Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department are seeking the public's help in connection with a robbery that occurred in New Hyde Park on May 19 at about 10:25 a.m.

At that time a male walked into the Mobile Gas Station, 2200 Hillside Avenue and engaged the attendant in conversation. The male then stabbed the attendant about the body numerous times and then stole cash from the cash register. The subject fled, on foot, eastbound, through the parking lot and south on Tuxedo Drive.

The subject is described as a male Hispanic, in his early 20s and about five feet, eight inches tall, with a medium build. He has a light complexion, dark eyes and was wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt and a dark waist-length jacket.

Crime Stoppers needs help in solving this crime and capturing this man. All calls to the toll free number, 1-800-244-TIPS, will remain anonymous and callers do not have to reveal their identity or testify in court.

Further, Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of this subject.
