All schools in New York State were mandated to hold both school budget and trustee elections on May 19. The results of the Herricks School Board and New Hyde Park/Garden City School Board elections are as follows:

Herricks School Board President, Paul Ehrbar said, after the vote, "The Herricks Board of Education is extremely appreciative of the people who came out to support the budget and the quality of education that it will provide."

New Hyde Park/Garden City Park Superintendent Joseph Rudaitis was equally as appreciative and said,"We are happy that once again the community has supported the budget. The district has a long tradition of promoting and encouraging educational excellence and we are grateful for that continued support."
