Sam R. Milana, formerly of Albertson, died on May 4, 1998. Retired engineer with WABC TV. Lifetime member and former director of VFW Post #3253 Albertson. Husband of Ann M. Father and father-in-law of Russ J., Mariann P. and Dr. Carolyn M. Milana. Brother of Phyllis Randazzo, Grace Barra and the late Jean Grace Laudicina and Joseph Milana. Brother-in-law of Marie Milana. Uncle of several nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by the Fairchild Sons Funeral Home, Garden City. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph RC Church. Interment St. John's Cemetery. Mary L. Perez, 82, of Crystal River, died on May 8, 1998 at Seven Rivers Community Hospital. She was born in the Bronx, and moved from Albertson two years ago. She was a retired secretary and a member of St. Aidan's RC Church in Williston Park. She was preceded in death by her husband Gabriel Perez in January of 1994. Surviving family members include two daughters, Patricia Christman and Suzanne R. Curtain both of Crystal River; two brothers, Joseph S. Gest of Bethpage and Stanley W. Gest of Mt. Holly, NJ; grandchildren, Alan and Peter Christman of Inglis, FL and Suzanne Yorks of Wingdale, NY; and five great-grandchildren. Arrangements were made by the Weigand Bros. Funeral Home., Willston Park.
