It is a great privilege for me to endorse the candidacy of Keith DiMarco for the position of Herricks School Board trustee. I met this dynamic individual three years ago when he expressed an interest in becoming a trustee for the Herricks Community Fund. At that time, the Fund was expanding its role to provide financial support to not only community-based youth and senior programs but also non-budgetary educational enhancements.

As part of the membership committee, I interviewed Keith and was impressed with his leadership skills and his ability to effectively communicate ideas for the Fund. This candidate was unanimously voted in as a trustee and subsequently was elected to serve as president for the past two years. Keith has proven himself time and time again to be a tireless worker who is committed to serving the community.

He is open minded to new ideas and creative in problem solving. Under Keith's leadership, an annual $5,000 mini-grant program for teachers in the Herricks School District was established to provide enrichment in the classroom. The fund has also raised monies for an electronic bulletin board that will be installed on the grounds of the Community Center to promote events in Herricks. In addition, $1,500 was donated to the Herricks Council of PTAs for the Herricks Scholarship fund. Monies were also raised to purchase equipment for the Senior Citizens programs and Herricks Community Players and to provide support for the Herricks Youth Council.

Keith is honest, fair minded, and works well with other people. He is sincerely committed to working to help the Herricks School District reach its full potential of educational excellence for our children and maintaining the quality of life for all its residents. Please vote for Keith DiMarco on May 19 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. at your local grade school for the next Herricks School Board Trustee.
