The Merillon Athletic Association will hold its 45th Annual Parade on April 25 which is scheduled to step off at 10:15 a.m. at the Manor Oaks School, in New Hyde Park. The marchers include all the boys and girls who are the members of the various Merillon Little League teams. After leaving the Manor Oaks School, the parade will travel west to New Hyde Park Road, then north to Marcus Avenue where it will head west to the Merillon Little League Field. Ceremonies will commence at the Merillon Field as soon as the parade is completed.

This year the Merillon Little League Association will honor the late New York State Senator Michael J. Tully, Jr., who over the years has been extremely instrumental in the successful operation of the Merillon organization.

Elected state, county, town and local officials will join with the Merillon "family" and the Tully family to honor Michael J. Tully's memory and to celebrate the opening of the 1998 Little League season by throwing out the first ball.
