For the seventh year in a row, the Merillon Little League of New Hyde Park will offer its Challenger Softball program for handicap children. The program features experienced coaches and high school helpers who give individual instruction to your child. There are different levels of instruction depending on ability. We play a few games with other Challenger programs in Nassau County and participate in the annual Nassau County Challenger Softball Tournament.

We accept children with any physical or mental handicap from mild to severe. Boys and girls ages 6 to 19 are eligible. A cost of $25 includes team shirt and trophy. We play at the Merillon field complex on Marcus Avenue from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday night from April 17 to the end of June. The field is located between New Hyde Park Road and Lakeville Road.

Please give the program a try and join the fun. You will be pleased with the enjoyment your child gets learning a sport, making friends and participating on a team. Everyone is invited, please have your child bring a friend.
