We recently received a voice mail, on the phone, from a man, who only identified himself as living in New Hyde Park and he was very irate. He wanted to know why we have not given any publicity to the New Hyde Park Memorial High School Play.

We would be more than happy to give publicity to that play, or any high school or grade school play, but we can't do much in the way of publicizing an event if we don't receive any information about it.

Instead of being so very angry with us, perhaps he should get in touch with Memorial High Drama Department and find out why they did not issue any information about a play that is going on at the high school.

We feel that the young men and women talented enough to be cast in a play should certainly receive coverage of that event, but as we said before, we can't do that if we don't know about it.

We are sorry that we missed the call, because we could have explained personally and we are even sorrier that he didn't leave his number, because we certainly would have called him back.

However, that's our explanation. If, anyone has any pictures of the Memorial show and they bring them to us, at 132 East Second Street, Mineola, with the proper identification, we would be more than happy to run them in theIllustrated News.
