In the final indoor tournament of the season, the Alleycats were matched up against Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens and upstate teams.

Game 1 - Playing against the host Gottschee White team, with Danny Korman in goal, Steven Kang and Bobby Thompson on defense, the game went 1-1 until 30 seconds left. Then the combination of Danny Verbanic and Brian Truglio won the game bfore the buzzer.

Game 2 - Matched up against S.I. Silver Lake Green, the game was a closely played physical contest. Bobby T. kept the game scoreless in goal. Danny Korman and Steven Kang were flawless on defense. Nobody scored to make it a 0-0 tie.

Game 3 - Playing the Brooklyn Italian team, nobody could find the net until Brooklyn scored with one minute left to beat us 1-0.

Game 4 - With Danny K. in goal and David Cantor and Steven K. on defense, we went up against Doxa. Danny V. and Brian T. scored once each to make it 2-0. Doxa came back to tie the score 2-2. Relentless playing enabled us to score two more goals to pull away to a 4-2 win.

The playoffs seeded us third in our division. We went into the quarter finals against S.I. Silver Lake White, seeded second in the other division. Seeing the Alleycats fall behind 2-1 with three minutes left, brought out the heart and soul in our team. Danny V. and Brian T. scored two goals to beat a stunned S.I. team and move on to the semi-finals against the host Gottschee White team, that had not lost a game since the opening loss to the Alleycats.

With the game tied 1-1, and under three minutes left, Gottschee went wild. Danny K. in goal was stunned. Count it, not one, not two, not three but four shots hit goalposts and bounced out, to send the game to a shootout.

Both teams scored 4 of 5 in the first round and forced a sudden death shootout. Danny K. came up big with a save on the first shooter. Brian T. then scored to win the game, and catapulted us into the finals against S.I. Silver Lake Green.

The first half saw us behind 2-1. The second half saw Danny K. flawless in goal with the help of David Cantor and Stephen Kang on defense. Again Brian T. fed Danny V. for the tying goal and a short time later Brian T. scored the winning goal for a 3-2 win.

Congratulations to the Alleycats for a fine ending to a well played indoor season.
