Mother of Susan Yansick, Peggy Bender, Veronica McGovern, Gloria Rabena, Helen Barefield, Peter and the late Francis. Grandmother of 14. Sister of Jean McCabe, Bobby Culleeny and the late Gloria Small. Arrangements were made by the Weigand Bros. Funeral Home, Williston Park. Funeral Mass at St. Aidan's RC Church. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.George F. Nelson, of Williston Park, died on Jan. 29. 1998. Retired NYPD, he was a member of the NYC Police Square Club, past master of Mineola Masonic Lodge F and Am #985, a 65-year member of Mason Fraternity, member of the Williston Masonic Club, Scottish Rite Valley of RVC and past patron Mineola Chapter OES #716. Husband of Helen. Father of Boyd (Joan) and Lorraine Schulze. Grandfather of Joseph and James Nelson and Stephan and Christina Schulze. Cousin of Henrietta Gumpert. Also survived by Elizabeth and Richard Conti and Richard, Anthony and John. Arrangements were made by the Weigand Bros. Funeral Home, Williston Park.
