Mayor Muldoon Will Not Seek Re-election

At the last meeting of the Williston Park Board, Mayor Thomas Muldoon, a member of the Integrity Party, announced that he would not be seeking re-election in the upcoming March election.

He explained that health considerations figured heavily in his decision. He said that his wife is now recovering nicely from a serious heart operation, but that he really needs to spend more time at home. He further explained that the job of mayor of the Village of Williston Park, which he has truly loved, is very demanding with not much time left to spend with family.

However the mayor said, "I'm not going to disappear entirely, I'm just going to look at what little part time job I could do for the senior citizen "kids."

In the meantime, Williston Park Deputy Mayor Joseph Connelly has announced that he will be the mayoral candidate for the Integrity Party in the upcoming election.

The Taxpayer's Party so far has not announced any candidate except Judge Alan Reardon who has stated that he will seek re-election to that post.
