Williston Park Senior Advisory to Hold Holiday Social

The Senior Advisory Committee of Williston Park, under the direction of Williston Park Village Trustee Doreen Ehrbar and East Williston Deputy Mayor Maureen O'Connell, will sponsor a holiday social at St. Aidan's Church Monsignor Kirwin Hall. New Hyde Park Baptist Church to Hold Concert

The choirs and orchestra of the New Hyde Park Baptist Church, 635 New Hyde Park Road, will present a contemporary and classic Christmas concert at 4 p.m. celebrating Jesus, the Messiah, as the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophesy and the longing of the ages for a Savior. Ferrara/Nicolello Sponsor STAR Help

Dances of the American Revolution

The Debra Weiss Dance Company will perform at the Long Island Children's Museum at 2 p.m. The dance company will perform the lively allenmande from George Washington's youth and the graceful minuet, a court dance which was a favorite of Washington's. The children will then learn an old Dutch dancing game called Seven Steps and have an opportunity to join in the President's March. Big Grey Concerts

Big Grey Concerts will present Scottish folksinger Ed Miller with a concert opening performance, at 8 p.m., from Scottish small piper, Deborah Nuse. The concert will be held at the Searing/Roslyn United Methodist Church at 134 I. U. Willets Road. To honor the Scottish month of pride and celebration Ed Miller, who hails from Edinburgh, will sing a variety of tunes from whimsical children's ditties to strong songs of Scottish nationalism. Miller not only gives a thoroughly enjoyable performance, but an education into the ebbs and tides of Scottish life. General admission is $10, with $8 for seniors and $4 for children under 12. This event is sponsored by the Searing/Roslyn United Methodist Church, a non-profit organization.
