The Citibank located on North Broadway in Hicksville was robbed shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, and according to detectives, the suspect appeared to match a description of an individual who committed a similar robbery less than one week ago in Massapequa.
Detectives stated that the suspect entered the bank, which at the time contained nine employees and six customers, and showed a teller a note demanding money. The suspect then fled the bank via bicycle headed northbound on North Broadway with an unknown amount of money. No injuries were reported at the scene.
The suspect, according to detectives, is described as a white male in his 30s, approximately 6’ with a medium build wearing a faded baseball cap and an orange and white long-sleeved shirt and jeans.
