Our Lady of Mercy Council, Knights of Columbus, will sponsor a Halloween costume party from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. in Our Lady of Mercy School Gym, South Oyster Bay Rd., Hicksville. The Joseph Barry Columbiettes, 45 Heitz Place, Hicksville, will be having a bus trip to Mt. Airy Casino in Pennsylvania. The cost is $42 per person, which includes the bus driver’s tip. Fourth Annual Bands Battling Autism

The 4th Annual Bands Battling Autism takes place at the Stuart Thomas Manor in Farmingdale. Bands composed of local middle school and high school students perform for a chance to perform at the New York Islanders Autism Awareness Night. The proceeds from the event are donated to support the 13th Annual Long Island Walk Now for Autism Speaks. Advanced ticket price is $12/each. It will be $15 at the door the day of the event.
