Claire Arnstein of Hicksville was chosen to the All-New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Second Team for the Trinity College women's basketball team. Arnstein is a junior at Trinity and co-captain guard of the team.
The Trinity women's team, coached by Wendy Davis, posted its best regular season record since 1999-2000 at 17-8 and finished tied with Wesleyan and Colby for fifth in the NESCAC at 4-5. The Bantams advanced to the NESCAC semifinal game for the first time in college history with a 76-71 quarterfinal triumph at Bates before succumbing at Bowdoin, 74-56.
Arnstein finished the semifinal game with a team-high 15 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. For the season, Arnstein averaged 12.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and a team-high 53 steals and 84 assists. Arnstein is majoring in mathematics with a minor in English at Trinity. She is the daughter of Pat and Kevin Arnstein.
