All the weathermen predicted rain for Thursday morning, March 19. God said, "What were you thinking?" Don't you know that is the first tournament of the year for the Senior Men's Golf League?" They said "Oops, and they put off the rain until the afternoon.

They had 29 men show up. There was some shivering but we played through it. Only seven men shot net par or less. There were 20 pars and Pete Guerra got the first birdie of the season on the par 3, 182 yard, 9th hole.

The next tournament will be on Thursday, April 2. Sign in is at 7 a.m. Please, be on time.

Competition on the nine-hole course is divided into two divisions. Flight A is for players with a handicap of 13 or less. Flight B is for players with a handicap of 14 or more. The league is a 100 percent handicap league. Any man who is 55 years of age is eligible.
