Demolition and excavation of the Hicksville Fire Department's Station #2, located on Briggs Street between Woodbury Road and Ronald Avenue, is complete, as is foundation work.

As of press time, the Hicksville Fire District reports that the following projects will take place over the course of the next two weeks, weather permitting: concrete slab for the first and second floors; masonry work; underground utilities; installation of the roof joist; and backfill of foundation walls.
