George Howard to Be Honored With Street Renaming
When the World Trade Center was bombed in 1993, Port Authority of New York/New Jersey (NY/NJ) Police Officer George Gerald Howard rappelled down an elevator shaft to rescue more than 60 students and teachers. He was awarded a Medal of Valor for his heroism.
