Hicksville-based Central Nassau Guidance and Counseling Services, Inc., a comprehensive, not-for-profit community resource serving the Long Island region with broad services for individuals affected by mental illness, development disabilities, addiction and/or chemical dependency problems, will hold its 9th Annual Golf Outing on Aug. 5 at the Town of Oyster Bay Golf Course, 1 Southwoods Road in Woodbury.
For the first time in the history of the event, there will be a presenting sponsor, Cook, Hall & Hyde, Inc. (East Hampton and Melville and Fair Lawn), a leading regional provider of commercial and personal insurance, employee benefits, and risk management services. Other major sponsors include Bethpage Federal Credit Union, the cocktail hour sponsor; M&T Bank, the buffet dinner sponsor; Garfunkel, Wild & Travis, P.C., the award sponsor and Slomin's Inc., the printing sponsor. The organization is seeking additional sponsors for other categories including: photography, golf cart, breakfast, beverage cart, barbeque and tee signs.
In addition to 18 holes of golf (shot-gun start), there will be a buffet brunch prior to tee-off, exciting raffle prizes including several vacation packages and a delicious buffet dinner. A small program during the dinner will include presentation by Central Nassau CEO Barbara Bartell and President of the Board Jim O'Brien. Golf awards will be given for closest to the pin, longest drive and low net achievements.
All funds raised at the outing will go toward Central Nassau's general operating expenses.
