The Hicksville Fire Department's Floodlight Heavy Rescue Company #8 will hold its 13th Annual Charity Golf Outing Thursday, June 19 at the Swan Lake Golf Club, 373 River Road, Manorville.

A shotgun start is $145 per person and includes green fee, golf cart and continental breakfast and lunch at the turn as well as a buffet dinner and Hicksville Fire Department Station #1. The event will also feature door prizes and much more while raising funds for the Hicksville Boys and Girls Club, an organization that has been providing valuable service to the community's youth since 1972.

By providing programs that promote self-esteem, positive values and morals, the club strives to provide each child with the tools needed to succeed. Tutoring, computer training, homework help and mentoring, as well as recreational activities, are some of the programs the club offers.
