United States Congressman Peter King (R-Seaford) is pleased to announce that the Internal Revenue Service is offering a tax preparation tool called Electronic IRS on its website to assist taxpayers.

"The Electronic IRS has made it easier for taxpayers to prepare their taxes online," King said. "This innovative tool is the gateway to many IRS electronic programs including e-filing your income taxes, downloading the proper forms and publications and tracking your refund."

According to the congressman, this tool can be accessed by visiting the IRS website at www.irs.gov.

"Preparing your taxes can be difficult, especially with the number of available e-filing options increasing every year," King noted. "The Electronic IRS helps reduce this burden and improve the timeliness and accuracy of your tax return."

He added, "With April 15th quickly approaching, I urge residents of the 3rd Congressional District to check out this program."
