I would just like to take this opportunity to thank the community for coming out to vote for the Hicksville fire commissioner election. I also have to thank those of you who offered your support and friendship throughout the campaign.

I learned a lot about our community through this election. Having attended all the "Meet the Candidates Nights" I was able to meet with community members and answer many questions about the fire district. It was interesting to find out that most people did not even know they were able to vote in this election and I was glad to be able to bring more community awareness to those individuals.

Throughout my campaign I talked about my commitment to our community and that has not changed. I will continue to be involved and work with other community groups and civics on keeping the community informed and united.
