I would like to thank all of the Hicksville residents who came out to vote on Dec. 11. This was a very important election, as they all are, and I am very proud to be your next fire commissioner. I am looking forward to working with my fellow board members, chiefs, department members and most of all, the people of Hicksville.

I would be remiss if I didn't thank the more than 50 people who worked on my election campaign. I would like to commend their hard work, diligence and dedication.

Now I look to put my 36 years of experience in the fire service to good use and stand ready to take on all challenges that lie ahead. We live in one of the best fire districts with a fire department that is number one and our residents can rest assured that the service that is offered will be on the highest level.

Please let me again thank all of you for giving me this opportunity and I promise I will never let you down.
