Support for John Keyer
On Tuesday, Dec. 11, Hicksville residents once again will be asked to turn out and vote for a candidate of their choice. Both have served the residents well. They deserve your support.
I have served many years on the department Haz-Mat Team as a team leader alongside John Keyer. He has always kept an open mind on the many decisions were faced with. Running a recognized team such as ours could be a full time job. The responsibilities are many, but somehow John found the time to organize not one, but two, Boy Scout troops and get the fire department to sponsor them. I lost count on the number of Scouts he mentored so they could get the coveted Eagle Scout ranking.
John also serves as president of his neighborhood civic association and now also serves as vice president of the Hicksville Community Council. He now would like to continue his fire service career and serve as fire commissioner and continue to keep an open line of communication between the fire service in Hicksville and its residents. Community awareness and support is vital to our fire department.
So, won't you join me and turn out on Tuesday, Dec. 11 and vote for fire commissioner? I hope you will see what I see in John Keyer and vote for him. Thank you.
