Janet Sackman, of Hicksville, died on Oct. 21, 2007. She was a former Lucky Strike model, former president of Local Chapter International Association of Laryngectomies and an anti-smoking advocate. Wife of the late Joseph J. Mother of Joseph (Anne), Katherine, Robert (Ann) and Lawrence (Brenda). Grandmother of Joseph III, Susan, Eileen, Sandy, Chris, Andrew, Sean and Emily. The family was cared for by the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, Hicksville Chapel. Mass at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church. Interment St. Charles Cemetery.
