We had another great golf day. God must like golfers. There were 43 men there today and we scored only 38 pars and Bob Ross got five of them. We also had one birdie by Sevald Knudsen on the par 3, 173-yard, third hole. Only 16 men shot net par or less and many of them were at even par. We couldn't care less. We enjoyed the game and the beautiful fall weather.
The next tournament will be on Oct. 18. It will be the final tournament of the year.
Competition on the nine-hole course is divided into two divisions. Flight A is for players with a handicap of 13 or less. Flight B is for players with a handicap of 14 or more. The league is a 100 percent handicap league. Any man who is 55 years of age is eligible.
Note: Because of the rapid growth of our club this year, we regret that we must limit the membership. The time involved to make up the foursomes and the waiting time for all the groups to finish is prohibitive. If you have already called to say that you wish to join the club, we will accept you, but after that we will have to put you on a waiting list. For more information call Lou Neumann at 681-2056.
