Gerald P. Cain, of Hicksville, died on Sept. 16, 2007. Husband of Jane A. Father of William (Loretta), Colleen Cramer (Robert), Jayne Weir, Ellen Lopez (Jorge) and Melissa. Brother of Dorlores O'Leary, Regina Gilbert and Marie Lynch. Grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of two. Uncle of many.

Mr. Cain was a WWII veteran of the US Navy and owner of Cain Electric. He was a member of the Nassau Electric League, pioneer and innovator of solar and alternate sources of energy.

The family was cared for by the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, Hicksville Chapel. Mass at Holy Family RC Church. Interment St. Charles Cemetery.
