Today was a lot cooler than the last couple of tournaments. The scores were a lot better too. We had 43 men play and we had 17 men who shot a net par or less. There were 44 pars with several men getting 3 and Peter Kerr getting 4. We also had 3 birdies. One by Jim Greene on the 200-yard, par 3, 4th hole and Sevald Knudsen getting two. One on the 257-yard, par 4, 5th hole and the other on the 157-yard, par 3, 7th hole. We had the semi-final round of the match play championship today. John Werling and Key Hymes will play each other in the next tournament for the match play championship.

The next tournament will be on Sept. 6.

Competition on the nine-hole course is divided into two divisions. Flight A is for players with a handicap of 13 or less. Flight B is for players with a handicap of 14 or more. The league is a 100 percent handicap league. Any man who is 55 years of age is eligible.

Note: Because of the rapid growth of our club this year, we regret that we must limit our membership. The time involved to make up the foursomes and the waiting time for all the groups to finish is prohibitive. If you have already called to say that you wish to join the club, we will accept you, but after that we will have to put you on a waiting list. For more information call Lou Neumann at 681-2056.
