Kraig Binick Living His Own 'Field of Dreams'
For many young men, the dream of playing major league baseball is only an aspiration, but for 22-year-old Kraig Binick, it recently became a dream come true. In June, the Hicksville native, a senior at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) where he played for the Bears baseball team, was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 27th round of Major League Baseball's First Year Player Draft.

Terry Farrell Fund Golf Outing Raises Necessary Dollars
The 6th annual golf outing for the Terry Farrell Fund raised necessary dollars to assist local volunteer fire departments and its members. A scholarship fund has been established and is open to a child or children of an active duty, retired, disabled or deceased firefighter who is or has served in the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) or a volunteer fire department.

Cantiague Park Senior Men's Golf League
Today was a lot cooler than the last couple of tournaments. The scores were a lot better too. We had 43 men play and we had 17 men who shot a net par or less. There were 44 pars with several men getting 3 and Peter Kerr getting 4. We also had 3 birdies. One by Jim Greene on the 200-yard, par 3, 4th hole and Sevald Knudsen getting two.
