The Hicksville Baseball 10-year-old All-Star Team won the recent Williamsport District 32 Championship.

Trailing a tough Levittown team 3-1 in the sixth and final inning, Hicksville rallied back with two outs to win the title 4-3, qualifying them for the New York State Section 4 (Long Island) Championship.

After playing three games against Suffolk County teams and giving up the least amount of runs in any of the Long Island districts, Hicksville secured a spot in the semi-finals against Massapequa Int'l.

Hicksville and Massapequa were tied 1-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning when again the All-Stars rallied back to win 2-1. The boys then went to the LI Region Championship played July 31 in Islip against Huntington Tri-Village (HTV), who were off to a quick 1-0 lead after the first inning. By the fourth inning, Hicksville came back to lead HTV with a score of 3-1 but eventually lost the lead and unfortunately the game by a score of 4-3.

The All-Stars extend special thanks to the parents and coaching staff for an unforgettable run to the championship.
