The Hicksville American Soccer Club Girls U11 Travel program is looking for members born between Aug. 1, 1996 and July 31, 1997 to join a team next year. The club currently has three teams at this age group competing at varying levels of skills. This year the team will be increasing the number of players on the field from seven to nine, offering ample room for anyone with interest.

Open tryouts for the entire age group (three teams altogether) will be held at one of the club's new turf fields, Triangle Park, in Hicksville. The field is located at the intersection of New South Road and Plainview Road in Hicksville.

All are welcome, even if you are trying out for specifically one of the three teams. Players are needed at all positions. The teams practice two to three times a week on two new turf fields (one lighted). Come prepared with a size four ball, cleats and water.

Specific information for the existing teams is as follows:

• The Hicksville United (Coach Patty Myers at pattym@optonline.net) is currently in N1 and focused on staying.

• The Hicksville Lady Hawks (Coach Bryan Higgins at bjhiggs@optonline.net) is currently in N2 and focused on moving up.

• The Hicksville Shooting Stars (Coach Rich Senft at hicksvilletravel@gmail.com) is currently in N6 and focused on moving up.
