We had another large turnout today. Forty-seven men enjoyed the great golf weather. The scores were a little better than last tournament. There were 14 men who shot a net par or better. We had 45 pars and two birds today: one by John Geier on the par 3, 150-yard, third hole and the other by Bob Ross on the par 3, 157-yard, seventh hole. Jim Anderson, who got overall low score, led all players with 5 pars.
The next tournament will be on June 7. We sign in as a group at 7 a.m.
Competition on the nine-hole course is divided into two divisions. Flight A is for players with a handicap of 12 or less. Flight B is for players with a handicap of 13 or more. The league is a 100 percent handicap league. Any man who is 55 years of age is eligible.
Note: Because of the rapid growth of our club this year, we regret that we must limit our membership. The time involved to make up the foursomes and the waiting time for all the groups to finish is prohibitive. If you have already called to say that you wish to join the club, we will accept you, but after that we will have to put you on a waiting list. For more information call Lou Neumann at 681-2056.
