Robert G. Valentine, of Hicksville, died on Feb. 3, 2007. He was retired from the NCPD Highway Patrol. Husband of Terry. Father of Lance Duggan (Lisa), Gail Maher (Kevin) and Lynn Resch (Thomas). Susan Razzano (nee Pastore), 87 years old, of White Oaks Nursing Home in Woodbury, where she had been a resident since August, 2005, died on Feb. 2, 2007. Susan was born in New York City in August 1919, and moved to Hicksville with her family during the 1920's. In 1941, she married the late Jack Razzano of Westbury and had been a resident of Carle Place for 47 years. She is survived by her daughter Mary and sons, Joseph (Susan), Michael (Janet) and John (Mary). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Arrangements were made by the Donohue Cecere Funeral Home, Westbury. Mass at Our Lady of Hope, Carle Place. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the White Oaks Nursing Home, 8565 Jericho Tpke., Woodbury, NY 11797. James J. Cummings, of Hicksville, died on Feb. 4, 2007. He was an Irish Echo columnist. Husband of the late Dolores E. Twohie. Father of Valerie McCarney (Fred), James Jr. (Janice), Michael, Ann Marie Schmidt (Bob), Patrick (Susi) and Kevin (Chris). Grandfather of Stacy, Bobby, Danny, Tara, Michael, Gavin and Ian. Brother of Helen Byrne. The family was cared for by the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, Hicksville Chapel. Mass at St. Ignatius RC Church. Interment Calverton National Cemetery.
