Dr. Durlan Castro will be the featured speaker at the Greater Long Island Running Club's (GLIRC) Tuesday, Feb. 20 open meeting, which will take place at 8 p.m. in the Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library, 999 Old Country Road in Plainview.

Dr. Castro, a prominent, longtime chiropractor, will introduce local runners to Active Release Techniques (ART), the revolutionary way of "fixing injuries ... fast." Dr. Castro has been an innovator in ART methodology here on Long Island. He will be accompanied to the meeting by his associate, Kathleen Brooks, P.T.

Any runner or triathlete who suffers from ITB Syndrome, shin splints, knee pain, low back/neck pain, hamstring/calf strains or Plantar Fasciatis is encouraged to attend this meeting. There is no charge. The general public is invited to attend.
