Cunneen averaged 37.0 yards per punt and pinned opponents inside the 20-yard line 19 times compared to only five touchbacks. He had his career high 67-yard punt this fall with several punts over 50 yards.
Cunneen was the only special team's player chosen twice in the NJAC player of the week. He was interviewed on the local radio station in Cortland at halftime during the annual "Cortaca Jug" game about his 2006 season.
Recently, Cunneen was chosen by the NJAC as First Team All-Conference, All-League Team. As an athlete, Cunneen will truly miss playing college football, but he is working to play professionally. He will attend a pro training camp in Orlando, FL in February 2007.
Cunneen's family and friends are extremely proud of his accomplishments. He is majoring in kinesiology, fitness development and is a 2003 graduate of Hicksville High School.
