Long Island's brightest and toughest business professionals will go toe to toe in the boxing ring at the Fourth Annual Long Island Fight For Charity, on Monday, Oct. 23 at the Long Island Hilton in Melville at 5:30 p.m.

Among the featured fighters will be Old Bethpage resident Matt "The Limo Guy" Silver of Ultimate Class Limousine in Hicksville. At this time, Silver will meet Smithtown resident Scott "The Rocket" Blum, territory manager of Shaw Industries, in the ring and will go punch for punch for three rounds to support local not-for-profit organizations.

"The Fight For Charity is my favorite event of the year. This event has grown exponentially in popularity and is expected to raise a large sum of money this year. This is a unique and fun way to support your community and I would like to thank all of those people who have come out in the past and plan on attending this year," Silver said.

Charities supported by this event include Long Island Community Chest, which will distribute the funds to local charities including the Genesis School, Christa House, Scleroderma Foundation, Pet Peeves, Long Island Works Coalition and Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. This year's Fight For Charity is sponsored by OSI Pharmaceuticals and Zoom Wireless.

All of this year's boxers for the Fight For Charity are being trained by Tony Fortunato of the Power House Boxing Club at the Farmingdale Power House Gym.

Tickets for the event are $125 for premium seats and $250 for ringside. Tickets include admission to a pre-event restaurant tasting of food and beverages, which will continue throughout the event.
