We had a great crowd again today (45 men), the weather was perfect, but the scores could have been a lot better. Out of 46 golfers we only had six men shoot net par or less. We only had 29 total pars and no birdies. But it was a good day and we enjoyed the weather. We also concluded the match play tournament for this year. Ted Marukawa and Bob Aull played to a tie after 9 holes, so we had to go to the tiebreaker. Ted won the first hole so he is the Match Play Champion.

The next tournament will be on Sept. 24. We sign in as a group at 7 a.m. Don't be late and sign your receipt.

Competition on the nine-hole course is divided into two divisions. Flight A is for players with a handicap of 12 or less. Flight B is for players with a handicap of 13 or more. The league is a 100 percent handicap league. Any man who is 55 years of age is eligible.

Note: Because of the rapid growth of our club this year, we regret that we must limit our membership. The time involved to make up the foursomes and the waiting time for all the groups to finish is prohibitive. If you have already called to say that you wish to join the club, we will accept you, but after that we will have to put you on a waiting list. For more information call Lou Neumann at 681-2056.
