The Hicksville Fire Department will host its 77th Annual Labor Day Parade and Block Party on Sunday, Sept. 3. Labor Day Chairman and Grand Marshal ex-Captain Rich Magee, Honorary Grand Marshal Jim Kershow and Chief of Department Robert Chiz invite everyone to attend this year's Labor Day activities.

The parade will kick off at 5 p.m. with over 30 fire departments and marching bands participating. The parade route is approximately 1.3 miles, beginning on East Marie Street in front of Hicksville Fire Department headquarters. The parade will proceed west to Jerusalem Avenue, south on Jerusalem to Old Country Road and then east on Broadway (Route 107) before heading left and marching north to West John Street to Newbridge Road where it will then head right onto West Barclay Street, ending under the fireman's arch.

A block party in the Oyster Bay Town parking field on the north side of West Barclay Street will follow immediately with refreshments and live music by Mid Life Crisis.
