The weather was great today and that was reflected by the number of golfers who came out today. We had 46 men today, and together 17 men shot net par or less. We had 41 pars with Jerry Skaee alone getting 5. We also had three birdies. Frank Orlando and Rich Huchbrueckner each getting one on the par 4, 257 yard, fifth hole and Frank Larke getting his on the par 4, 259 yard, first hole. Today was also the fourth round of the match play tournament with Ted Marukawa and Bob Aull winning their round and they will play each other for the match play championship. FULL STORY

A car wash to benefit the Power, Hicksville's American Soccer Club's Girls U11 Travel Team will take place Saturday, Aug. 26 (rain date Sunday, Aug. 27) from noon to 3 p.m. at Boulder Creek (Route 106/107). All monies received will be used for team training and tournaments. FULL STORY
