The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Hicksville is one of the member communities that have helped celebrate the conclusion of the10th year of the Greek Orthodox Youth of America (GOYA) Volleyball League in the District Metropolis of New York.

The league has over 200 players in their program with 24 teams from 12 Greek Orthodox communities. Its success with these teenagers can easily be attributed to the volunteering efforts of over 1000 individuals over the last decade.

For 2006, the Holy Trinity community had the following four All-Star players representing their boys and girls team: Tania Belesis, Vicky Gialis, George Mingos and Tommy Vlahos. In addition, the Hicksville boys team won the Nassau division with both the boys and girls teams came in second in the league.
