We almost did not play today; it was very foggy, cloudy and misty with a few drops or rain. Forty-seven men showed up and the weather held out so we started the tournament. It did not rain and the weather got better as the morning went on. The sun was shining when we finished. The scores today were much better than last tournament. We had 22 men on or below par (net score). There were 55 pars and 2 birdies. Several men had 3 pars and Lou Rezoagli and John Wherling had 4 pars each. Ed Junginger had a birdie on the par 4, 257-yard, 5th hole and John Geier had the other one on the par 3, 150-yard, 3rd hole.

The next tournament will be on June 15. It will be a "best ball" tournament. We sign in as a group at 7 a.m. Don't be late. Sign your receipt.

Competition on the nine-hole course is divided into two divisions. Flight A is for players with a handicap of 12 or less. Flight B is for players with a handicap of 13 or more. The league is a 100 percent handicap league. Any man who is 55 years of age is eligible.

Note: Because of the rapid growth of our club this year, we regret that we must limit our membership. The time involved to make up the foursomes and the waiting time for all the groups to finish is prohibitive. If you have already called to say that you wish to join the club, we will accept you, but after that we will have to put you on a waiting list. For more information call Lou Neumann at 681-2056.
