On what a beautiful morning - today was the best golf day all year. We had a record number of golfers out today - 48 men. The scores were not bad, but not too good either. Out of 48 men playing today, we had only 36 pars, but we did have 4 birdies - one by John Hebrank on the 272-yard, par 4, 6th hole, one by John Pellegrino on the 182-yard, par 3, 9th hole, one by John Ednie on the 228-yard, par 3, 8th hole and one by Dave Malle (how did he get here, his name is not John) on the 200-yard, par 3, 4th hole. Overall low as won for the second consecutive tournament by Tom Parker. This time he shot a net 26.

The next tournament will be on June 1. We sign in as a group at 7 a.m. Don't be late. Sign your receipt.

Competition on the nine-hole course is divided into two divisions. Flight A is for players with a handicap of 12 or less. Flight B is for players with a handicap of 13 or more. The league is a 100 percent handicap league. Any man who is 55 years of age is eligible.

Note: Because of the rapid growth of our club this year, we regret that we must limit our membership. The time involved to make up the foursomes and the waiting time for all the groups to finish is prohibitive. If you have already called to say that you wish to join the club, we will accept you, but after that we will have to put you on a waiting list. For more information call Lou Neumann at 681-2056.
