Levinson: We Have to Explore Alternatives

Levinson's proposal, which he presented to some 60 residents at the Hicksville Community Council's May 4 meeting, calls for implementing a school district income tax credit and eliminating the residential portion of the school property tax paid by both homeowners and renters through Nassau County. In addition, through the proposal, commercial and utility property, apartment buildings and non-residents would continue paying property taxes.
