The United States Tennis Association honored Hicksville Community Tennis with the National Junior Tennis League Award for 2005. The selections were based on outstanding excellence and continued dedication in the area of youth tennis programming.

For 2006 summer tennis, the following registration dates have been scheduled:

Monday, May 8 - Hicksville HS Courts; 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, May 16 - St. Ignatius Loyola School; 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Saturday, May 20 - Hicksville MS Scouts; 10 a.m. to noon
