On Friday, April 21, Hicksville High School's Junior Varsity and Varsity Girls Lacrosse teams will be dedicating their games to Erich Lehmann, who, on Jan. 26, was struck by an automobile while crossing Newbridge Road.

Erich, 14, suffered major head trauma, growth plate damage in his ankle, a broken jaw and other injuries. He was in critical condition and endured brain surgery, ankle surgery and jaw surgery in the days following the accident. Miraculously, Erich survived and day-by-day is making great progress. He has a long road ahead of him.

Both games will take place at Walker Field on Andrews Road. The junior varsity game will begin at 6:15 p.m. and the varsity game will start at 8 p.m. The Hicksville PAL will be on hand selling food, with all proceeds donated to the Lehmann family to help offset Erich's exorbitant medical costs.

Please come down and support your Hicksville teams, enjoy some great lacrosse and show Erich that his community is here for him. For more information, call Pam Geslak of Hicksville PAL at 935-7214.
