Congratulations to Hicksville's Alexis Fraher, 7, on her recent gymnastics competition success.

Lexi performed competitively for the second time as a Level 5 gymnast at the Big Apple Holiday Classic in Edgewood, NY on Dec. 18. For her age group Lexi placed first on vault scoring a 9.25; first on bars, scoring a 9.20; 3rd on floor, scoring an 8.45; and scored a 7.75 on beam. Lexi's All Around score of 34.65 crowned her the silver medalist of the competition.

Lexi also competed at the Winter Wonderland Classic, which took place in St. James on Feb. 5. Lexi placed a medal on each event with scores of 8.4 on vault; 8.525 on bars; 8.65 on beam; and 8.55 on floor. Her All-Around score of 34.125 enabled her to place fourth overall in the competition.

Lexi trains five nights a week at Mid Island Gymnastics in Hicksville and is a second grader at Our Lady of Mercy. Best of luck to Lexi in her upcoming competitions.
