In December, Hicksville's East Street School sponsored a holiday toy drive in memory of Sarah Weippert under the direction of Mrs. Serra, principal, and Anne Bergeron. These toys were donated directly to The Sarah Grace Foundation For Children With Cancer and were distributed to children with cancer throughout the holidays.

Additionally, Hicksville Middle School sponsored, under the direction of Mr. Aronowitz, principal, and Zeny Taveras, a toy drive in memory of Sarah Weippert and Michael Magro. Sarah and Michael were both students at Hicksville Middle School when they lost courageous battles with cancer. Toys collected by the middle school were divided between Schneider Children's Hospital in Sarah's Memory and the Cancer Center for Kids at Winthrop Hospital in Michael's memory.

The Sarah Grace Foundation greatly acknowledges all the help they received from both of these generous and wonderful schools. We graciously thank them for all of the time and effort that the teachers, students and their families put into this project. Many children's lives have been touched and improved by the kindness received in loving memory of Sarah and Michael.

Marissa, Matt and James Weippert
