On behalf of my colleague Robert Dwyer, thanks to all who came out earlier this week to vote in the Hicksville Fire District election for commissioner.

Although the outcome of the election has not been determined as of the writing of this letter, I wanted residents to know of Commissioner Dwyer's gratitude for the show of support he received from throughout the Hicksville community. He is appreciative of the warm welcome given to him as he met with many groups and organizations and thankful for the assistance and encouragement of hundreds of family members, friends, neighbors and fellow firefighters.

Residents should remember that their board of fire commissioners is always available to answer questions they may have regarding Hicksville Fire District issues. We can be reached at 933-6445.
