Residents of Hicksville will take to the polls on Tuesday, Dec. 13 to cast their vote for fire commissioner. This year, current commissioner Robert Dwyer is seeking re-election against challenger Bob Manson, a retired New York City firefighter.

The Committee to Re-elect Robert Dwyer held a fundraiser on Nov. 20 at Delaney's while the Committee to Elect Bob Manson held theirs on Nov. 6 at the Milleridge Inn. During both events, members of the Hicksville community gathered to show support for their candidate of choice.
